Job Purpose: The Bakery Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the wholesale bakery's operations, including production, staffing, and helping with sales. They will ensure that the bakery is running smoothly and efficiently, while also meeting customer demands. The Bakery Manager will oversee the baking staff and train them in proper baking techniques. The Bakery Manager is responsible for ensuring that every product that leaves the facility meets our quality standards and that proper SQF and HACCP procedures are followed. They will also help develop new recipes and product lines. In addition, the Bakery Manager will be responsible for managing inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed. Duties: Ensuring that the bakery is adequately stocked with quality baking ingredients and supplies. Completes suitable work schedule and production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries. Appraising staff performance and carrying out the necessary disciplinary measures to address poor performance. Resolving customer complaints in a professional manner. Ensure that proper production tracking is being completed to meet HACCP requirements. Consistent Strive for better and maintain SQF standards Drive team performance and quality standards Monitor Food Costs and operate within budget considerations. Skills and Qualifications: 5 years experience working in or managing a wholesale bakery or similar food manufacturing facility Ability to create a positive work culture and lead team growth Experience with Food Manufacturing Management, SQF and HACCP Food Manager License Sound knowledge of different baking techniques. The ability to work effectively under pressure. Outstanding problem-solving skills. Effective communication and persuasion skills. Exceptional customer service skills. Ability to meet business goals and production requirements
